Keith is a retired Battalion Chief with over 33 years of experience in the fire service. The last 27 years were with Santa Rosa Fire Department holding the ranks of Firefighter, Captain & Battalion Chief. His diverse career included serving on a FEMA Urban Search & Rescue Team, working with State and Federal Incident Management Teams during wildland fire season. Keith worked on various fire department projects as a Battalion Chief that spanned from operations at large fires/incidents, facility management, policy development, & homeless outreach. Keith has an AS degree in Fire Science, Chief Officer certification from the State of California and is a graduate of “Leadership Santa Rosa” Class 33. Keith and his wife have lived in Santa Rosa for over 30 years where they raised their two adult sons. Keith currently volunteers his time with Redwood Trails Alliance maintaining park trails in Sonoma County & serves on the Board of the Cordell Marine Sanctuary Foundation supporting scientific work off the Sonoma coastline. Keith brings to the foundation a unique and valuable perspective from his fire service experience combined with being longtime resident of Santa Rosa. Keith was motivated to be a founding member of the Santa Rosa Fire Foundation after his experience as a firefighter during the Tubbs fire in 2017 and then as a resident during the Glass Fire in 2020.
